Pros

Some low- and mid-level employees are pleasant to interact with.

Cons

The many problems at Pediment stem from poor company culture that starts and ends with upper management. Upper management flagrantly misrepresents the jobs they hire for when courting prospective employees. They either talk up the possibilities of the position rather than the realities, or they highlight the most interesting and unusual projects the company has worked on over the years while downplaying the repetitive core of the business that makes up 99% of employee time. The Fenison family-run company puts nepotism on full display. There are no real advancement opportunities if you're not a member of the family. They do not invest in or trust their employees. Upper management are poor communicators and are frequently disrespectful and demeaning toward employees in all departments. Upper management (children of the original founders) have minimal real-world experience and struggle to maintain a productive work environment in a once-growing company. They take no accountability for their actions and believe that successes are a result of their leadership and failures are the fault of the workforce. The time of employees is not respected and meetings with upper management are frequently forgotten or rescheduled for weeks or months out, including "annual" performance reviews, which frequently occur months after the anniversary. Salaries are below industry standard across all departments, promotions are often title only or retroactive based on the work employees have already been doing for months, and raises are insignificant. The company is backward-thinking and anti-progress. Upper management micromanages and interferes with talented employees, are dismissive of new ideas, and frequently hypocritical when it comes to instructions. Upper management does not adhere to the standards they place on their employees. The small company has lost 6 employees over the past 9 months due largely to discontent.

Pros

- The office was a friendly environment. - I was provided the necessary training to succeed at my job. - The management was approachable and kind. - It was a great small business feel where people cared about each other beyond the work. - I enjoyed the group breaks playing a game of "H" (shortened version of H-O-R-S-E) just to get up and move around a bit away from the computer and interact on a relational level. - I felt I received a fair wage for what I was producing for the company.

Cons

It is a small business so there aren't a ton of opportunities for higher-level advancement, if that's what you're looking for. However, the owners and management were good at noticing and rewarding effective/hard work. They also seemed willing to invest in and commit to folks interested in committing to a career at Pediment.
