      Pros

      The people are fun and the coffee is free.

      Cons

      The company's published patent applications do not meet either novelty or enablement requirements. After a failure with a Mg ARPAE grant, the company got a second grant on multivalent cation batteries even though none of those has advantages over lithium.

      Pros

      Good leadership, and good people to work with. Engineering team is well-organized and focused. Can learn variety of techniques from Sr. scientist if willing to do so. Create electrochemical foundation outside classroom. Generous and approachable upper management.

      Cons

      Work can get repetitive for lower level employees. May not always have "free" time to research and review literature for current projects.
