Pros

If you're seeking a place where you're trusted to use your professional judgment, this may not be the right fit. During my time at Peraton, I’ve experienced a work culture dominated by excessive oversight and little autonomy. Communication often feels top-down and restrictive, with limited room for collaboration or innovation.

Cons

Micromanagement is pervasive. Routine tasks require constant check-ins, and there's a noticeable lack of trust in employees’ expertise. What’s more discouraging is the unprofessional undercurrent in team interactions—offhand gossip and subtle cliques affect morale and make it difficult to feel like part of a cohesive team. This is a warning sign for anyone expecting a mature, mission-driven environment. It’s especially disheartening considering the type of work and clearances often required. I’m actively exploring better-aligned opportunities where integrity and professionalism are more than just buzzwords.
