Pros
Flexible, friendly and collaborative environment. The fact that there are so many long term employees is a testament to this. It’s like a work family. As a new recruit, you receive a wonderful induction. Your growth within the company is also well supported. There is even potential to move across business disciplines. The head of marketing came from sales and the operations director has sales responsibility for parts of Eastern Europe. The only churn seems to be with non-performers. A great deal of trust and freedom is placed in employees. They can largely work from the office or home and there is no clock watching. There is also a fair bit of socialising in and outside of the office amongst the younger members of the team. All employees also receive free hair services and products. Work anniversaries are also celebrated with personalised gifts, such as earrings, hand bags, and accessories. I always feel like I am learning and appreciated!
Cons
Since covid, the physical office is a bit smaller and less full, as the CEO supports employees working wherever they wish and feel they can be most effective. The office is also temporarily in Paddington, rather than the normal West End location, as the main office building is undergoing work.
