Pros
After working at a large company for many years, switching to a smaller entrepreneurial technology company has been a blast. The work is always challenging but rewarding and you feel like you are making a direct impact. The team is a mix of senior professionals who really know the technology and the space, however there is also quite a bit of us new to the organization as well who can jump in right away and start making an impact. It feels like everyone is bought into the vision to make Pereview grow and to help each other out along the way. It’s fun to see your work and ideas go directly into a product that goes directly to clients rather than working for massive conglomerate where you don’t feel like you are making a difference.
Cons
You definitely need to have an entrepreneurial mind set, otherwise this isn’t the place for you. Everyone seems to work very hard, and there is never any shortage of work or opportunities to make things better. Also if you are not use to working in a fast paced environment or dealing with real estate asset managers for clients (who can be demanding), the transition might be a bit of a shock. Lastly, because the team is smaller, people are often asked to wear multiple hats or to take on additional tasks that might not be in your job description but will help the product or team in some manner.
