Pros

Decent pay, not the best, decent hours.

Cons

Series issues with QA and choosing Medical Auditing supervisors who are unethical, cruel, and intentionally sabotage record auditors. Multiple complaints by multiple employees and Performant loves these type of supervisors and QA. They will harass you and call you at home. One QA literally in a psychotic episode on the phone, yelling because she does not understand coding directions. Once saying that provider's can code any diagnosis from a "nurse note" to take away your findings and the list goes on and on. RECORD ALL PHONE CONVERSATIONS with Performant QA and Supervisors. I am considering releasing the recordings. They record you so you can also record. If QA or Supervisors start calling you at home on your home line, it's because they want it off the record and are most likely sabotaging you. I was warned about it by other medical auditors, real mentors who knew their stuff. All the great experienced auditors left. We were told to make all the records findings!! It's not possible and it's corruption. Once my supervisor started talking to me through my computer SKYPE without sending a request and implied they listen in and have the right to record you while your working. WARNING. NO raises in years and management gives bonuses to favorites and tells them not to tell anyone else.

Thank you for your feedback. Performant encourages all employees to report unethical behavior and provides guidance for the proper reporting channels in the Employee Handbook. Regardless, Performant is always striving to become better as a company and endeavors to maintain excellence at all levels. Our compensation structure—comprised of base pay plus incentive pay for accomplishing specific goals—is designed to reward employees who help the company achieve client goals by delivering dollars back to our clients. The incentive portion rewards employees for performance and has no cap. This means an employee has unlimited earning potential. There have been, and are, many employees who produce strong results and earn incomes significantly greater than what they have been able to make elsewhere. This compensation structure is designed to achieve the goals of our clients, who pay Performant for delivering results.
