Pros

In the location I worked at, my fellow employees and manager were fantastic people to work with; it felt like a family and I was always supported. Helping customers with their pets' needs was always very rewarding & so was sending pets home with their new owners. Great opportunities to advance within the company.

Cons

I was employed here for a few years & witnessed first-hand the changes made in upper management; they were not good. There were a few controversial firings and hirings. Corporate seemed to change their primary goal for the company; that of offering quality service to making money. Many employees quit the company as a result of these reworkings. As a result, most of the stores and the corporate office are severely understaffed. Those remaining in upper management seem to not be able to handle basic decisions and when they do they choose the wrong course of action. Some individuals in upper management severely abuse their power and micro-manage those on the store level. Store managers are losing most of the control over their stores, then are blamed and fired when something goes wrong. All of these negatively affect the stores, employees and customers.
