Pros

Phil was built to help patients lead better lives, better outcomes and better experience. I’m very supportive of the mission, and the work here to change the healthcare space. High quality individuals at all levels of the company - the team is passionate and focused on taking care of everyone (patients, prescribers, clients and one another) Leadership has been people-focused throughout COVID - have not seen them hesitate to make the right decisions quickly in handling the changing pandemic. The COVID shift was an enormous shock for the entire world, however team has been able to work successfully since Day 1. Teams work hard and expect a lot from one another - but also very supportive and compassionate as employees navigate through highly unusual times. Have seen this happen repeatedly with colleagues around me, and the way Phil responds in those times of need is first class. Teams and leaders are mindful of home boundaries and balanced lifestyle (evenings, weekends) and focusing on getting results during the day rather than squeezing more hours in the week. Expectations of respecting one another is very high - I’ve personally seen the team take a stand on clients who attempt to treat the team with disrespect. Feel very supported. CEO expects a lot from his teams, but also no one more than himself. Supportive in helping solve problems and get teams what they need.

Cons

Fast paced and teams need to be able to pivot quickly - but also exactly what you’d expect from a start-up. May not be for everyone.

Pros

Collaborative, focused, "get-it-done" culture. Day-to-day feels directly connected with the company mission. Everyone is working toward common goals, and teams are always willing to help each other out to make things happen.

Cons

Too many layers and approval processes for the size of the company, creating unnecessary overhead for planning, prioritization, and execution. Lack of transparency into roles and responsibilities for execs / teams makes it difficult to navigate the organization at times.

Pros

Talented Peers: The individual contributors here are some of the brightest in the industry. You will work with people who genuinely care about the product and each other.

Cons

Lack of Timezone Boundaries: While the company hires across the US, there is zero respect for local working hours. Meetings at unusual hours are a frequent occurrence. Asynchronous communication is non-existent or vague. Cycle of Perpetual Layoffs: The organization seems to be in a constant state of restructuring. Layoffs occur with such regularity that it has destroyed institutional knowledge and decimated morale. It’s hard to focus on long-term roadmaps when you’re wondering if your team will exist next quarter. "Always-On" Expectation: Due to the timezone issues and lean staffing, there is a heavy pressure to be available 24/7. Burnout isn't a possibility here,it’s an eventuality.
