Pros

None except you get to work on handful of good engagements.....at a price

Cons

- Well where to start....first no value or compassion for employees....Photon treats employees as slaves - Clients are cash cows....milk them as hard as you can at the expense of our slaves..hog tie them into trenches and earn cash....bash slaves with profanity constantly and make them work for 10 hours or more....however pay only for 8 hours...I don't know if any employees filed lawsuits. Well Photon doesn't give a damn. - Management is totally driven with top down approach with CEO & CTO calling out all shots...and their slaves just nodding their heads... - Walgreens and JPMC primarily are the two clients currently Photon has, if these accounts close, Photon will shut shop. - No other major clients...Photon is being chucked out on regular basis as vendor..few accounts lost recently are Macys, Toysrus, Netjets, KeyBank. - The reason behind not being able to accomplish the engagement commitments is Photon's famous crap process they call as Photon Agile 4.0. No need of detailing the process here, since the clients who have figured out by now removed Photon as implementation partner. Smarter clients will never do business with Photon. - Attrition is too high, except there are few incompetent employees who keeps hanging around since they have nowhere to go. They are typically long timers or close buddies to management folks. Also, another important success criteria to grow within the organization is you need to be a Tamilian. - Every second person is a delivery/account manager, however they are just promoted to micromanage employees, instead of focusing on what deliver managers are supposed to do. - Threaten employees if they are planning to quit or resign. - New rule for 2017, employees asked to work on five Saturdays even if the client location is closed. Typically clients will request if they need vendor to work based on their priorities and deadlines. CTO came up with this ingenious idea of five working Saturdays and only 6 days of paid leaves.. Is this not DOL non-compliance ? - If client office is closed, HR(its a puppet department following rules set by Management) will ask employees to work on Photon office, if no work is there spend time on training..however Photon doesn't have any training program for employees. - VPs walk around and curse employees without knowing the context or root cause of the issue. - New five star ratings are added by Photon just when there is any negative reviews. - Photon is an ideal place to work if you are shameless and don't mind feeling disgusted, work within a toxic environment, with constant curse..no transparency then join them, you will be thrilled!!

Pros

Really good company to work for. Health benefits were great and was able to negotiate a good rate for my contract

Cons

Communication could improve in terms of staying in contact with the contractor. Working with the individual for their next role as the contract is nearing an end would be an area of opportunity as well.

Pros

Can be on interesting projects Some really good people If on correct team can be very good conditions such as remote work

Cons

Zero opportunities for growth Limited to no work/life balance No Severance Do not pay when on the bench Wrong team or manager the hr insanity can make it rough (One year they decided july 4th was not a holiday another they decided to lower the salary and increase the percentage that was bonus effectually giving everyone a pay cut).. Honestly a 2 might being generous but i have worked with some nice people there and the vast majority of the people were nice and good just wanting to get the job done . Any 5s are probably fake or the lucky few that do not have to deal with Photon Hr.
