Pros

the only pro is that some members of the staff is nice to work with

Cons

In a toxic environment characterized by questionable ethics and management issues, where key performance indicators (KPIs) are absent, complaints about the non-existent HR office persist. In this situation, your role entails carrying out your job while pretending to be content despite being underpaid by a company that merely feigns to be something it is not. Moreover, any extra hours worked are not compensated, making the overall experience unworthy.

Pros

If you're lucky, you will create a trauma bond with some of your workmates. Without a doubt, the biggest pro is knowing that it is not possible for there to be a universe out there where you will work a more soulless, draining and morally questionable "start-up/wannabe-corporate/we're all a family here" job. This is rock bottom, your life can only get better from here, I hope.

Cons

There are no boundaries at this company - personal and professional lines are often crossed leading to discomfort, disengagement and overall lack of security. Management has a knack for continually employing individuals who are initially lured in by the promise of doing great things, really getting their claws into creating a wonderfully sustainable product, working toward the greater good of the planet, and then losing them within a very short amount of time. The turnover rate means you'll see a flurry of new faces, but there is not enough time to connect with anyone in the long run. There is no organisational structure at the company, it is only lowest level employees, and then directors. There is no middle management, no growth or support, and no room to grow professionally. The few kind individuals who have remained at the company are victims of the sunk cost fallacy, and have stayed in the company long past what is beneficial or healthy for them. There is no shortage of micromanagement, and upper management does not hesitate before publicly belittling employees once something goes "awry", regardless of if something went wrong or not. There is very little integrity left within this company's walls. They have expanded past what they can reasonably handle, and this has been the cause for shortcuts and questionable workarounds. In typical start-up fashion, the pay does not adequately reflect the quality of the work you do, amount of overtime done or efficiency of tasks completed, and all work is subject to scrutiny from upper management (regardless of their missing expertise in that area). Upper management constantly takes issue with staff rightfully using sick days, annual leave or time off in lieu, but has completely different expectations for a select few. Management are unempathetic and are frugal with time spent away from the office i,e, suggesting staff take half an hour instead of the afternoon off to attend an appointment. However this does not prevent management from reaching out for "urgent" tasks, many of which only seem to become urgent after 5PM or on the weekend. Time spent on these urgent tasks are obviously not compensated. Overall, many cons working at this company.

You will lose your sanity, sleep, will to live, anything you could think of that's good in life will slowly turn to bad working at this company
