Pros
First thing you need to know, management has changed *completely* in the last 12 months. This is an entirely different company than it ever was before... Literally *any* review in 2020 and before is completely irrelevant. This company is so much worse than it ever was. Literally no benefits. Just don't work here. They have nothing to offer you but hardship for no reward.
Cons
Have you seen those videos online where software agencies satirically boast about "startup culture", "unlimited paid vacation", "we're a family", and all that nonsense? Only to then reveal that it means you'll never get a vacation, you'll be gaslighted into believing you have to work harder than anyone else, and you'll sacrifice your mental health beyond repair. Do not work here... I repeat... DO. NOT. WORK. HERE. They will never pay you what you deserve. They will never give you what you need to do your job well (seriously they're still giving out 7-year old laptops after claiming unprecedented revenue growth in the company)... Well, I know for a fact not a single person at that company except for the executives have experienced any growth in their salaries... Nobody is paid even a halfway decent wage, and they claim "all the Katz Coffee you can drink" is a reasonable form of compensation in leu of a reasonable base pay. They have no senior engineers, no senior designers, and no senior project managers. It's the blind leading the blind over there. They will never be able to hire senior people because they all scoff at the offers they receive (about half industry standard rate). They are scrambling every day, and if you work here, you will be thrown right into the middle of it all. You will be doing all the heavy lifting for them, and you will be sacrificing your mental health because you yourself will be upside down trying to figure out how to go from A to B without anybody helping you. You're totally on your own. Absolutely everyone is stressed and nobody has the time to help you... They certainly don't get paid enough to do even their own job, believe me, they're not going to help you do yours, even if they were qualified to help. Executives have absolutely no idea what they're doing. They're operating in a fantasy land where they believe the management and incentive methods of over a decade ago still work in today's competitive climate. They will claim that they want you to participate in tech conferences, public speaking engagements, and the like, but they won't even pay $20 of an entry fee for the dev team to learn a new technology that is totally relevant and will help everyone do their jobs better. You cannot claim that the company is doing amazing, and that you appreciate everyone, and then turn around and literally give us nothing to do our jobs well... It's complete nonsense and lies... Oh by the way, after straight up lying to the development team for years about how they will pay for all of us to go to a tech conference... Their Digital Marketing team didn't even exist for 9 months and they paid for all of them to go to 2 conferences within the same week... How's that for preferential treatment?! To put it plainly, This company has gone from 50+ people to less than 20 people in 5 years (oh and they added a new branch to the organization in the process) ... Literally every single software agency has exploded in the last 2 years due to Covid... but this one has continuously lost fantastic talent and has never recovered. They refuse to accept the ongoing feedback of their employees. Believe me, there is a consensus among all project managers, designers, and developers. We all want the nonsense to stop... This company will be left with nothing and they will still wonder where they went wrong. They are living in a twilight zone. DO NOT WORK HERE. YOU WOULD BE CHOOSING TO STEP ONTO A SINKING SHIP (and it's not a submarine...) Last thing I'll say is, I saw another review here on Poetic's glassdoor review page that said to management something obscene ... I just wanted to say that I second that motion... By the way if you haven't read that review, go read it... It's AMAZING.... and totally accurate based on my experience as well.
