Management can't be trusted. When you speak up, you will be shot down. When you say something in confidence, know that the entire management team will know within minutes. People are promoted on an annual basis, and not based on performance. This can be very frustrating, since you may be working alongside someone with far less skill or real-world experience who will have the same title as you.
