Compensation and benefits are mediocre at best Constant pointless meetings where you achieve nothing and talk in circles for an hour just so managers and product owners can sit in and justify their existence and feel as if they're doing something useful. Upper management in the company are fond of saying constantly we're in a difficult place right now but we're working to make it better. I've been hearing this line for the last year and things continue to only get worse The recent layoffs were handled very poorly and really exposed the upper managements lack of respect for employees The product strategy within the company seems to be for management and product teams to just throw ideas at the wall and see what sticks. Each time it's with the promise that loads of customers want this, cut to months later when teams have been exhausting themselves trying to make these features work and often only a handful of customers or sometimes none at all end up using the new features. Teams openly talk among themselves of how poorly thought out these features are and we are fully aware very few customers will have an interest in using them but any concerns we raised in the past were ignored so we don't bother anymore. We just make the stuff knowing it will be unpopular and a waste of effort and move on Being good at your job will only mean you're expected to pick up the slack of people who clearly just aren't bothered trying too hard. There will never be any consequences for anyone showcasing obvious laziness or consistent incompetence Still some very talented people working at Poppulo but churn has been high and I see that number dwindling more and more as time goes on and these people realise they'll get paid far more for their expertise at another company I could go on and on but overall this company used to be amazing. If I were asked 18 months ago no question it was the best place I've ever worked at. Now though the decline in quality as a workplace is just too stark to ignore. It was great when it was just Poppulo. The company started its downward trend as soon as FWI and Vista equity got involved
