Pros

• Opportunity to work on interesting international research projects with cutting-edge technologies. • Friendly and professional colleagues create a stress-free and relaxed work environment. • Flexible working hours and a remote work option provide a good work-life balance. • A good choice for students, offering exposure to a scientific environment and opportunities for self-development.

Cons

• Onboarding process needs improvement: My first day was spent alone with no clear instructions, no introduction to the company culture, projects, or colleagues. A proper onboarding program is essential. • Lack of structured communication: As a new employee, I didn’t know what tools were used (e.g., chat apps, task management tools) or how to access essential resources. Many directives were outdated and unclear. • Limited infrastructure for collaboration: The absence of regular departmental meetings meant minimal interaction and understanding of team members’ roles and skills. • Insufficient support for non-Polish speakers: English resources, including documentation, conferences, and tutorials, were scarce, making it difficult for foreigners to integrate. • Workplace amenities lacking: A 500-person office without a canteen forces employees to walk 20+ minutes for basic food and drinks. However, there are 2-3 catering firms coming every morning. • Salary and benefits are not competitive, and there’s little incentive to stay due to weak career progression opportunities, flat structure, and unprofessional contract management (e.g., delays in signing documents).
