Pros

Flexible working hours and full HO

Cons

QuartzBio, a startup not too long ago acquired by PfM experienced dynamic growth, though the senior management often seem unsure about the steps it takes to make their vision into actual products, which slows development and frustrates staff. Not the best for career development.

Pros

PfM is CRA centric and walks the walk, doesn’t just talk the talk. One of the few CROs experiencing growth currently. CRAs are set up for success, and supported by the upper management. This doesn’t fix all issues that come along with complex trials and sponsors/clients, the work is still hard and can be overwhelming, but you’re treated like a real person. Been here a year and still feel valued. Metric-based bonuses up to 10% of base salary. Realistic DOS at 8/mo. They truly promote upward mobility and believe is growing from within as much as possible.

Cons

Smaller company means fewer perks insofar as balancing home office/travel costs. Work phone not provided; internet not expensed, etc. they provide a $90/mo stipend for “home office costs,” but everything comes out of your own pocket. Benefits not fully paid and coverage for family is not cheap.

Pros

Solid CRO with many clients. Pay is good, compare to other companies.

Cons

It is sad to see a good company ruined by continuous bad management. Hiring is based on favoritism rather than business knowledge, resulting in unqualified managers who micromanage out of insecurity. Team culture is toxic, and morale is at an all-time low due to unpredictable monthly layoffs that completely ignore performance. Trust your qualified employees and stop the constant restructuring if you want to save this business.
