Pros

The main teams who have to take all the negativity from customers unhappy with services are great people, doing what they can with poor company support and numerous IT systems. Team leaders are good and doing their best to get what people need from directors. Good site based teams and some good clients.

Cons

Weird and defensive management team who don’t often come across like they know what they want from us. Hypocritical staff culture. Say they care, but basic wellbeing things that other companies offer like full sick pay and some WFH to help when you need to focus on detailed work, not offered. Constantly criticised for not getting back to people, but when managers are shown that this is because of workload or training challenges, no solutions are suggested. Say they welcome feedback, but if you use the anonymous survey to say anything, the MD hunts you down to find out who you are, so people don’t use it. Not sure that directors realise their staff are people, not robots, who need training and support. Support teams are nice but understaffed and struggling to cope with work requests, so property managers get criticised for not getting things to clients on time. Leave work a lot of the time feeling sad and angry. Not good at making the company inclusive and some tone deaf statements from directors about people who don’t fit their mould.

Pros

Encouraging environment that supports continuous learning, technical development and qualifications. Trusted and empowered by leadership, with recognition for hard work and dedication. Excellent place for motivated individuals looking to grow in a challenging yet rewarding industry. Gained valuable experience in prioritisation, organisation, and team management/leadership skills. Supportive, collaborative culture – truly enjoyed working with the people at PBM.

Cons

The leasehold residential property management sector is complex and constantly evolving, which can be demanding. Frequent legal and regulatory changes require adaptability and resilience. While PBM is proactive in adopting new technologies and support systems, there is still room for improvement in streamlining processes and infrastructure.
