Pros

Good to get some lab work experience but probably nicer companies to get it with

Cons

Shocking pay considering what you are doing. Most people who are testing bloods are unvaccinated and the company does not care. Shift managers clearly have favourites. They do not care about agency staff at all. Avoid unless your okay with being treat with your working on a production line. The place is obsessed with efficiency, you get a 40 min break for a full shift despite being sat in the same spot staring at a screen all day. They class getting a drink from the kitchen as a break.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, albeit our primary source of feedback on the employee experience is not Glassdoor we always take interest in what people share. I am sorry that your time at Preventx wasn’t ideal, and we recognise that Preventx and laboratory work may not be for everyone. The work is very intensive and fast paced and if this was not made clear to you at interview we will ensure we make it clearer in our processes in future. However the work we do here at Preventx has a huge impact on public health. Providing accurate, reliable and speedy test results to our service users leads to precise diagnoses and personalised treatments, improving patient health and quality of life. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and we are thankful for the time you have taken to leave this review.

Pros

Majority of lab staff are great. Tech team and customer support staff are great. Kit build teams are great.

Cons

The senior management team of Chiefs, travel first class to exhibitions on jollies, attend events like Beyonce to entertain Public funded clients, whilst making redundacies. Focus heavily on revenue without consideration to support the service users, greedy people wanting to sell their share at maximum value with little thought to the actual business and what it stands for.
