Pros

- Printify is a successful company and you will learn a lot here! Definitely won't hurt your resume. Unfortunately, I think that the success of the company is also the main reason why most of the negatives won't change in the nearest future. - They compensate you really well. It's honestly a sin not to take advantage of all the benefits available (above industry average salary, free gym with trainers, quality massages at discount rates, lunch money, snacks & food at the office, decent learning budget, top-notch insurance, etc.). You might even bag a decent jackpot from the stock options if you hang around for long enough. - Great opportunity to stay in sync with the latest trends in the industry, tech and startup environment in general. - Fun, smart and mostly positive colleagues to hang around with

Cons

- Current management seems to be generally out of touch. It feels like some people from the management team are just taking advantage of their position to benefit themselves directly as much as possible. There seems to be a general lack of understanding of the business and the industry. No one seems to be holding them accountable. - Cross-team projects are usually a hot mess. The team is placed all around the globe, so this should not be a surprise. Constant misalignments, accidental ingoring of key stakeholders in decision making, silo communication really sucks the energy from everyone involved and just raises tension. - Some people are really high on the Printify kool-aid. 'best company ever', 'I would never leave', etc. For most of these people their only work experience is Printify... - Potentially self inflicting burnout cultivating work environment. Flexible work hours, opened office 24/7, constant perks at the office, etc. As long as you do your job - we'll take care of you mentality. It's the modern way to appease young people and lure them in, but it is also very dangerous for those who lack self discipline and principles to establish work-life balance routine. As a result, 12 hour days at the office, burnouts, working on weekends, vacation days and sick leaves is considered normal. It is truly sad and unfortunate to see how your peers turn to shells of themselves without any other fulfilment in their lives other than their job. - CEO gives a vibe that he is willingly ignorant and borderline delusional visionary, while actually being totally aware of everything around him. Seems like he is playing some sort of a character. Setting made up goals with very limited supporting information. Of course, if you shoot for the Sun, but end up on Mars, it is still a success. Asking for impossible is what drives innovation and creative thinking, and that's OK. Being delusional, ignorant and short-sighted is NOT OK. - Limited career development opportunities once you hit mid-management level. Seems like people just get stuck there and can't seem to get any higher than that. Printify will rather hire an outsider who has no clue what the business is or how it operates to lead a strategically important project. In reality, these outside hirees rarely stick around and even smaller portion of them deliver meaningful results.

Thank you for your review! We’ve put a lot of work into designing a well rounded benefits package, thanks for pointing it out and also drawing attention to where we still have work to do. We recognize that ensuring transparency and alignment across the globe and teams is an ongoing challenge, especially considering we’ve more than doubled in size over the past 2 years and also introduced a hybrid work environment. That is why we are revamping our existing internal communication as well as introducing several new internal communications initiatives that are better suited to a team of our growth and size. We support the growth of our people and actually prefer to promote from within. This year alone, 25% of our new hires have been internal. However, the best fit is always a priority, and so we’ve added key strategic leaders with broad global experience, bringing valuable skills to our top management team to help us realize our ambitious goals. At Printify, a core value is to strive for excellence. We want people to do their best, and we also want people to feel at their best. While we do already offer a wide scope of benefits to ensure our talented team is well supported, we also admit self-inflicted burnout can be a real risk for high-performing team members in a fast-moving environment. Wellbeing is a key focus area for us this year and our goal is to have an ongoing discussion and deliver programs that will mean we prevent more and react less. We’ve already introduced improved wellbeing policies such as unlimited health leave, wellbeing days and expanded health benefits. We’re planning dedicated events throughout the year and continue to measure how we’re doing through engagement and pulse surveys. We also work closely together with our internal employee committee to be able to recognize and address concerns as they appear. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns further. If you are open to sharing them with us, we encourage you to approach your direct manager at Printify or anyone from the HR team, or alternatively, share them with the Employee Committee.
