You start off as a 1099 employee. There can be benefits to that depending on your experience, but it is an overall hit or miss. They won't give you the option to become a FTE until a year of employment. Do NOT become a full time employee unless you need health benefits. I highly recommend that you focus on studying during the down seasons at the job for Cloud or Security certifications and move on.
