Pros

Ultimate schedule flexibility, as MTs are hired as statutory employees (similar to IC), so management does not set concrete quotas or schedules. Also, their transcription platform is a proprietary system that is amazing to work in. The fact the Proscript pays lower than most MTSOs to start is very quickly offset by the amount of work that can be produced per pay period. This means that I actually come out better with this company that I have with other companies that paid more than Proscript

Cons

The only places for improvement that I have seen are very, very minimal. The first is the training videos and quizzes. Any MT with years of experience are going to know the answer to anything on the quizzes, and the only area with a learning curve ends up being comfortable and confident with using their proprietary system. Once you learn the platform, you can take advantage of pre-filled headings and a good VR system. The problem I mentioned is that the training is not crazy intensive or lengthy, nor is it personal. It is a prerecorded course on Proscribe, their platform. A virtual classroom setting with around 15-16 new hires per training class would be more beneficial.

Pros

Great staff and supportive. Always helpful with questions and suggestions. Very personal. Great accounts.

Cons

Pay per line is lower. The platform could be a little faster. Other than that, it is a great place to work for.

Pros

You're free to choose your schedule, since I'm an IC however, you're not "in trouble" so to speak if you can't make it everyday EXACTLY at your appointed time, but of course it's advised that you adhere to your chosen schedule as much as possible.. You're also free to work as much overtime or extra work as you can stand and there's no requirement to ask permission or inform a Team Lead before doing extra work. No hounding Team Leads, corny daily emails, compensatory conference calls, no semi-compensatory Team contests to engage the MTs to one another in order to "feel" like a team. Just bi-hourly status updates on the workloads across your accounts. Business at Proscript is straight to the point; no frills. I prefer it that way. ~You're made aware of what work is available. ~You log on. ~Do your work. ~Log off.

Cons

The pay isn't the greatest and the only incentive is a half-cent differential for "availability" which is defined by Proscript. Once in a blue moon, there may be a holiday incentive if you've adhered to your schedule 100% for a specified amount of time, but that's rare. It's a perfect 'in-between-time' job while figuring our what your definitive career move/change will be.
