Pros
As far as schedule flexibility, they can't be beat. All they ask is email support if you aren't going to be logged in during your time commitment and they thank you for letting them know. I even failed to do this a few times and never heard a word of complaint. MT support is AWESOME, they are so kind and helpful, always sharing tips on researching vocabulary or names.
Cons
Pay SUCKS. At 3.5 cents a line for editing and 7.5 cents a line for transcription (which is rare, I was told at the beginning that it would be about 80% editing and 20% transcription and it's true), the fact that they don't pay for headings/subheadings, even though they are required, you can't make jack. On top of that, as soon as I started getting used to my main account specifics and most of the dictators and actually started making a little money, I volunteered to 'help out' on a couple of other accounts, when they asked for help, that have an insane number of different dictators and now most of the reports I get are from these 'volunteer' accounts and rarely hear the same dictator twice and am now back down to almost my beginning level of pay. Not to mention all of the ESL dictators who have no grasp of English grammar whatsoever and you're supposed to make the report make sense while editing/transcribing 'verbatim' and then pretty much transcribing the entire report but getting paid to edit it because it went through VR (which is a joke) before it came to you. Then there are the residents who think they're supposed to dictate 850 words a minute and have no clue what they're talking about and over half the report is uhh, umm, total silence or going back and correcting themselves so you have to retype the last 2 lines every other minute. After 6 months with them, I'm LUCKY if I average $4 an hour. It's really disheartening when you spend an hour or more on a really tough report, don't leave any blanks and then check your production and see you only made $1.97 for your effort. I'd give them less than 1 star on pretty much everything except flexibility and the support people if I could. You're never going anywhere with this company, compensation is a joke, there are no benefits, work/life balance I guess is ok if you're not worried about making money, I don't know anything about senior management or their culture and values.
