Pros

Aesthetic Environment: Beautifully designed office in a great location (Solana Beach). • Surface Perks: Good selection of snacks, weekly coffee perks, and a consistent calendar of "fun" company events.

Cons

Values Disconnect: Accountability and Transparency are posted on the walls but are non-existent in practice. Management operates with a "rules for thee, but not for me" mentality. • Stagnant Scaling: Despite being in business for 25 years, the company is still crippled by "tribal knowledge." Leadership is resistant to modernizing processes, which effectively handicaps many attempts at scaling. • Hostile Leadership: The executive environment is highly volatile. The CEO’s leadership style is ego-driven and requires constant "kissing up"; those who don’t play into this dynamic are often targeted or marginalized. • Unprofessional C-Suite: Many in the upper echelon lack the professional maturity required for their roles. For many, this has been their only grown up job and it shows. This results in a "popularity contest" culture where career advancement is based on sycophancy rather than merit or KPIs. • Serious Cultural Red Flags: Beneath the festive activities lies a toxic atmosphere. New ideas are viewed as threats rather than contributions. Furthermore, there are serious concerns regarding the personal conduct of leadership and a lack of professional boundaries that only become apparent once you are onboarded. • HR Negligence: Human Resources appears to be a decorative function. They lack the teeth—or the interest—to address executive misconduct or protect the staff from an abusive environment.

Pros

Collaboration. No one is in competition with their own coworkers. There's no drama, backstabbing, scapegoating, and all the other toxic behaviors I've seen at other companies.

Cons

None! I love this place.

Pros

-Strong culture among in-office employees — the team genuinely cares about each other and the work - An excellent place to start your career; the culture is supportive and you'll learn a lot from tenured employees who are generous with their time and knowledge - Smaller company size (~140 employees) means you're not just a number and your contributions are visible/can make a real impact. - The company has real staying power — 25 years in business speaks to a stable product and loyal customer base

Cons

- Culture has noticeably diluted as the company has scaled remote hiring; the in-office experience and the remote experience feel like two different companies - For a 25-year-old company, too many startup-era processes are still in place that should have been professionalized long ago - Core values are stated but not consistently lived — especially at the leadership level, where gatekeeping is common - Compensation is below market for most roles; unless you're in sales or have been here long enough to have negotiated up over time, you're likely underpaid relative to industry benchmarks
