Pros

Great accounts, Simone Mears & Ashton Bilbie are awesome, but are unfortunately more hands off with the business since the acquisition.

Cons

Since Redwood North acquired the business it has gone downhill. They had a great specialist firm and ruined it with the acquisition. Since then they have lost some great recruiters, especially those that resonated with the original values of the business. There is also misalignment with what the CEO says he’ll do vs the actions followed. CFO is highly unprofessional and made multiple women in the company feel uncomfortable.

Pros

If you’re a recruiter who wants to operate in the Financial Services market in Australia, you’d be hard pressed to find a better business. The business has a strong reputation, an established network, and broad specialist coverage giving you a great chance of success. My colleagues were knowledgeable, collaborative, and genuinely cared about positive customer outcomes. While the business has evolved, the core DNA remained the same: doing the right thing, being great at what they do.

Cons

It’s a quieter sales floor than some might expect... largely because consultants are often out meeting clients, in meeting rooms, or working from home. Also, while there’s a friendly, social environment with regular events, the focus is work first, social second. Those looking for a party style recruitment culture (I assume they still exist?!) may not find that here - most consultants are experienced and have busy lives outside work.
