Pros

Collaborating with working artists and library communities to build strong programs that allow kids to thrive. Connecting with families whose children's lives have been positively impacted by participating in the program. Building community amongst resident artists in NYC as well as beyond. Cultivating and sharing opportunities for resident artists within the framework of the program and moving forward as alumni. Being witness to students progress as they grow throughout the school year, seeing their pride in the end of year exhibitions as they share their hard work with their friends, family and library!

Cons

Running a program on a national scale as a small team can be challenging from a logistical standpoint, looking forward to opportunities to hire more support staff as we grow.

Pros

ProjectArt offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children. The organization provides free, high-quality art classes to children who wouldn't otherwise have access, and the impact on these kids is truly remarkable. The resident teaching artists are passionate and dedicated, and they create a supportive and encouraging environment for children to explore their creativity. Working at ProjectArt was a rewarding experience, and I learned a lot from both my colleagues and the children I worked with. If you're looking for a job where you can make a positive impact and be part of a supportive team, ProjectArt is a great place to work.

Cons

I found all good experiences here.

Pros

Exposure for artists. Able to teach techniques and art lessons that inner city youth may not otherwise have opportunities to learn.

Cons

Really, it could be a bigger program with more exposure. Partnerships may help with more exposure and funds for supplies, but not sure of the backend.
