Pros
If you’re an animal lover the cats & dogs are the best part of this job. That’s it.
Cons
Upon hiring they really make it seem like it’s a dream job albeit they do say it’s a busy one. Which is all well & good & expected…except what they don’t tell you is you’ll be added to countless text threads…some that have nothing to do with and your phone will be going off all day. The amount of off duty communication they expect from you is nonsense. If they expect people to be able to answer them within seconds it seems, off hours, late at night or weekends then they need to pay you for it. Period. They don’t care if you have a life outside of this even though *most* are only hired for part time/holiday work. They expect you to do unpaid training sessions and meet & greets, scheduling you without actually honoring any schedule or availability you gave them in the first place. They will make it seem like great pay - it is not! And you won’t even get paid for the first month you work there nor receive the Transpo benefits that is promised to you the first week on the job as stated in your contract. Chun Soon only cares about money and she’ll use you to get it. And if you get sick or need a break - you won’t get that time. They don’t care and they’ll guilt you into working and burn you out all the way to bank. Speaking of Chun Soon - the way I watched this woman speak to her employees was absolutely deplorable and made me sick to my stomach. If you want to be degraded in front of your coworkers, belittled, yelled at like you’re a little child and have your job threatened to your face while everyone looks on then hey, maybe you’ll like this job. If you enjoy daily interactions with the most passive aggressive person on the planet, you’ll love it here. Otherwise I would run.
