Pros

I've been at Publicolor for a little over 10 years now. The best part of my experience with the organization is that it is truly driven by it's mission to support young people facing immense challenges related to poverty reach their highest potential. Everyone at the organization, including non-program staff, has a real passion to see young people succeed.

Cons

Publicolor can be a demanding place to work because the mission demands passionate commitment. Over the past 10 years I've seen staff members thrive and I've seen staff members move on to other job positions that better match their passions.

Pros

This was my first ever official job. Everyone made me feel welcomed as soon as I began, and they are also very understanding. I enjoy the work that is given me. One thing I really appreciate is how every day there is a new task, and it's not the same thing over and over again. Im also able to sit in on some of the workshops that they give to the students.

Cons

I haven't really experienced anything negative while working at Publicolor.

Pros

After working in the non-profit/arts education space for the past 10 years, I have never encountered such an employee, mission, and student-driven non-profit like Publicolor. The dedication and passion of the team are truly unparalleled. Every project is infused with a sense of purpose, and it’s evident that every staff member is deeply committed to making a meaningful impact. The organization fosters an incredibly supportive and collaborative environment, where innovation and creativity are encouraged. Publicolor’s distinctive approach to education and community engagement not only transforms spaces but also transforms lives. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that consistently strives to uplift and empower both students and communities, making a real difference every day. Publicolor's leadership and minority-driven workforce reflect a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the students we serve.

Cons

You develop a genuine bond while working with students and witnessing their educational and emotional growth through our programs. It can be challenging to say goodbye as they embark on new journeys and opportunities. Fortunately, with our family-minded approach, our students always return to share their experiences with new students and staff making their departure easier!
