Pros

Great for industry newbies who want experience running classes, training clients Secure job Well-enough facilities

Cons

The area you are in will determine your success Majority of clientele consists of people who don't want personal trainers Depending on your area, gym can be unsustainably busy at periods to deliver quality PT sessions You are required to run classes, clean the gym, maintain gym floor appearance whilst paying the company themselves up to £100 a month Gym members are unaware you do not get paid to run the classes No day-time cleaners, gym toilets can get uninhabitable by the evenings The company do not do enough to make their female members feel more comfortable

Pros

The only “good” thing is the small percentage of new equipment and that some gyms are 24 hours.

Cons

Management is unfair, cutting hours and expecting a single worker to handle the entire gym. Incredible staff are undervalued, while third-party cleaners and side services pretend to solve problems they don’t. Members are chaotic, shifts are impossible, and yet leadership refuses to hire properly. Think smarter, not cheaper.
