Cons
-Supervisors expect too much -all management and supervisors are bullys -terrible pay for a widening scope of tasks -this company are fighting the union against a payrise, the last one we got was this year after it was discovered by acc ours expired 6 years ago and they had been paying employees below minimum wage for healthcare -they ask you to travel to places over 40mins away, don't get paid the petrol or tolls -start early, finish late with only one half hour break (if your lucky) -don't get paid to stay back, but have to keep the door open for customers to come in until the exact times listed on the doors. If you go to lunch 10 mins late due to someone walking in too bad, you are expected to be back 20 mins later, or if a patient (or several) walk in right on close you have to treat them, then do all your cleaning packing etc WITHOUT getting paid for it. They tell you you get paid for this and you never do - never got the entitled tea break in 4.5 years of working there due to listed above opening times loophole (not allowed to lock door) but you are the only person working -one person in super busy clinics alone -paid too little to have to stand in a bathroom with drug users pee into a cup, this is very intimidating as you are usually working alone and some of them make inappropriate comments or when you exit the bathroom with them all other patients in waiting room are staring at you -not allowed time off -no help from hr team regarding anything -Terrible for anyone with a (especially young) family, I was yelled at when i needed to call and cancel a shift to pick up my 2yo from daycare when he was sick, was told to leave a carseat at my daycare to have someone else pick him up because my husband and i only had one carseat, was asked why i couldn't work full time because of his age, etc. -not worth the daycare/travel costs for the wage -rung up or emailed about any little mistake, yet never acknowledged for great work or customer reviews -not given support, if any complaints or incidents occur you are accused and threatened by management rather than getting both sides -would not recommend, go to a hospital or any other company as they pay more -always short staffed because staff quit u y
