Cons
Doha city is quite small and boring. Extreme Heat and Humidity. Public transportation is in its infancy. Traffic here is a mess and people drive like lunatics. Doha in summer is a bit of a ghost town.
The general working atmosphere here is a bit laid-back. Career wise, it can be a good place for senior people to retire here. It might not be a good place for early-career researchers to advance their career, although it provides attractive compensation package. It is not easy to lure highly motivated and talented students to work here.
