I have witnessed that the company failed an employee for a specific course for missing a day of the session due to the mandatory drug test that THEY also required him/her to do. According to them, even taking a sick leave requires you to have a medical certificate for missing that day, may it be a mild or severe case. In addition, if that employee chooses to have a vacation leave even if it's only for a day (within the course schedule), they will fail you on that course and will give you the option to enroll on a different course for you to make up your loss.
