Corporate Greed - Beware - Assistant Property Manager R.E. Carroll Management Employee Review

Pros

- Commission and monthly bonuses, however the base pay offered is below a living wage for the area. - The only thing good about this company is the money earned. - if you're looking to become a cog in the capitalist machine, then look no further than R.E Carroll Companies. You too can line the pockets of a billionaire at the expense of the Asheville Community!

Cons

Management, both corporate and at a property level in Asheville is extremely hands off. They will allow residents and vendors alike to verbally abuse staff with no de-escalation or intervention. Training is non-existent aside from online modules that are relied on too heavily. Upper management is unconcerned with answering time sensitive questions and remains apathetic towards residents and lower level staff.

Pros

The pay was decent and the residents/community were nice people.

Cons

There are some biases toward people of different backgrounds. They had decent systems in place and then after software updates you had to place more and more Support tickets causing lots of frustration. This is report heavy company. This company does not trust its people. The manager’s approval limit is too low. The regionals approval limit is too low. You can’t get anything done causing delays. There’s not much of a work life balance. This is also a very micromanagement type of company managers have to clock in and out too. They have unrealistic budgets.
