Pros

None!!! See below for the full truth!

Cons

In fairness, it was a great company and a good position at the beginning. Until liberal tactics and idiotic policies were implemented that had nothing to do with trucking! They used to pay for every mile the truck rolled. Then went to the Alvys program, and everything went to hell in a 2 month period. You were allowed great hometime, then another stupid policy was implemented out of the blue, minimum of 2800 miles a week, and only 48 hrs off. And, all BROKERED dry van freight had to be over $2 a mile, or you sit! (Good freaking luck with that one!). They've lost approximately 20 out of their 41 drivers in less than a week! STAY AWAY FROM THIS POS COMPANY!!! They fired approximately 10 drivers, without notice, without severance, stranding drivers at the Arkansas yard without any concern, and most importantly, without ANY cause! Arkansas being an At-Will state, means they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and let me tell you, they did! But, one good thing... drivers still have each others backs and have some camaraderie left. At least another 10 drivers have QUIT! Telling these idiots that they've turned into the worst trucking outfit out here. Most quit without notice, hoping these morons are forced out of business! Good enough for them too! Believe me, they are going belly up! Do NOT give this manipulative and liberally ran company the time of day! STAY AWAY!!! You've been warned...

Pros

Great atmosphere and collaborative environment. It is a family-owned company, but each member EARNED their place there. The owner's sons worked hard and even unclogged toilets if needed. Everyone is very welcoming.

Cons

It's not a con, just a difference of opinion. It seems like accounting holds itself a bit apart from the other departments. I preferred to think of everyone as more of a team, so I didn't mind helping other departments if a need should arise. Doing so often led to my being reprimanded for not letting the other departments "own their roles." But I still believe those reports and being helpful significantly impacted gross margin.
