Working alone and as a team, fantastic salary for a technician which brings it inline with other trades. The responsibility to make the best decision for the member/car based on your expert opinion and expertise, taking the stress and responsibility out of the members hands so they feel supported, leaving a job and knowing that you have made the members situation a lot calmer/ easier to resolve, endless amount of resources at your fingertips, all tools, parts & PPE provided by the RAC and the ability to order tools that you need to replace when necessary, access to a mountain of technical training as and when you choose to do it. Social events with the team now and again so you can put names to faces as you all work alone but have other Patrols on speed dail for advice and support.
