This would be an absolutely amazing company, if it weren't for the President, Greg Johnson. He brings an amazing new level to the term micromanagement. If you could work there and avoid him, it would be a pretty good job. However, it's impossible to avoid him! He gets involved in every level of the business, and not in a good "roll up your sleeves" type of involvement, more along the lines of "What are you doing? What are you working on? I have to see everything, then change it, then do it my way" type of involvement. Combine that with him actually saying things in meetings like "I'm smarter than everyone here, just do it like I said", and "you won't be able to know what I want or am looking for, you'll just have to figure it out". He gave a colleague of mine with twenty years planning experience a twenty minute "lesson" on how to enter an appointment in the calendar! Not how to use the software, but how he wants to see it detailed in the calendar! It's rather unfortunate, because if he just got the heck out of people's way it could be a great place! There are many, many great companies in Kanata, do not waste your time here. Move on.
