Ownership and HR are not to be trusted - Vice Principal RDF International School Employee Review

During my time, many of the teachers were excellent. Unfortunately, ownership decided to cut salaries by 30-40% and push out the good teachers.

The owner, Mona, is as clueless as she is arrogant and disrespectful to her entire staff. Despite hiring qualified leadership, she insists on micromanaging and pushing her personal agenda ahead of what is best for the school and students. The principal is a total figurehead, with no fortitude or power. Run, don't walk, in the other direction. Oh, and the owner is openly racist, on multiple occasions saying she "prefers to hire white teachers."

Nothing that I can remember.

Many of the negative reviews about this school reflect my own experience. In my view, the overall atmosphere has been unhealthy and divisive, with leadership (the main owner, Mona Zhang, and two principals) often playing staff against each other across departments. In my Science department, there has been very high turnover, with at least one or two teachers leaving each semester. The school appears to prioritize finances over educational quality or staff well‑being. In my experience, people who report on colleagues are sometimes favored, which further damages trust. During my first years, salaries were paid on time, but in the past year, payments were delayed by 2–3 months on multiple occasions, which was explained to staff as being due to recruitment problems and student withdrawals. Because of all this, I personally cannot recommend this school as a workplace. There are also issues I find concerning that I believe are more appropriate for local authorities to look into, so I will not comment on them in detail here.
