Pros

Great benefits, work/life balance, reasonable pay, per diem for travel. I can see management is trying to implement changes to keep the company afloat and I'm all for change. Overall, I like working for Remsa because there is a structure now.

Cons

From what I see current management does not tolerate nonsense.

Pros

I enjoyed working at REMSA. Everyone was easy to approach and allowed me to guide my career. Although, I worked at the customer’s location, the HR and management was very helpful to me. I never had any issues. I was allowed to take time off when needed and never had any issues with my pay or any other benefits. They kept me informed. I enjoyed my job, the flexibility and hands off approach.

Cons

Don’t get to see management often. Based on the contract you may not get the opportunity to move up in position.

Pros

They had a recycling program for paper, glass and other materials. The building had some renovations in 2013.

Cons

Perhaps because the renovation was so expensive, the upstairs employees never got their cubicles cleaned anymore. The cleaning staff was told to do only the downstairs since that was where the customers were entertained. Half the building was filthy because employees were too busy working hard on actual projects to act as housekeepers. The management they got after May 2013 had no clue about managing employees, and allowed certain bullies carte blanche opportunities to micromanage women and minorities. These same bullies never micromanaged Caucasian males. There was a massive reduction in senior level staff and only senior level staff, after the death of the founder in 2013. As a result, some customers quit REMSA because the company no longer had the cumulative years of expertise on staff to do the work. I am shocked that the company has not gone out of business. Take a look at the ongoing turnover since 2013 and ask yourself if you have any potential for a future there.

REMSA Response

REMSA, Inc. has been under new management since November 2014. The Management team has a combination of over 49 years of Business, Leadership, and Managerial skills that have greatly assisted in the management of the Company's day-to-day operations. Management continues to incorporate changes that will improve the organization over the course of years. We are happy to report, the changes have already improved the overall operational success. Since 2015, Those changes have made a great impact throughout the Company, enhanced the overall business and working environment for all employees. The Company management team will continue to promote and support EEO and while doing so, will strive to maintain an excellent working relationship with external and internal clients. Management encourages tactful feedback from employees and solutions that will improve the organization and employees working environment in its entirety. Turnover rates are very low and are due to employees who were offered Federal positions alongside external clients. Overall the company will continue to grow and remain competitive in the market. If you can adjust to environmental changes, you have visited the right place. We welcome you to apply for open vacancies and join our team!
