Pros
It's a small company, so there is lots of opportunity to grow and learn. You don't spend your first six months running other analysts' crosstabs here. After learning the basics, you are allowed to take on parts of projects more and more. You can really take ownership of projects here. The benefits are quite good - vacation time, 7 paid holidays, a 3% 401k contribution.
Cons
It's a small company, so there's not too much room for growth or vertical movement. From what I've learned, analysts rarely stay on more than a few years. While you are able to learn a lot right away, the co-founders of the company (Kelly and Kara) are reluctant to allow analysts to take on more responsibility which, in all fairness may be due to the regular turnover among the analyst staff, but is nevertheless annoying when you are trying to move up. Also, RKM is set in its ways and is very slow to change. For a company that sells it's clients on using feedback to guide strategy, there is little room for input here; things are done in strange ways that are harder for analysts and inefficient because it is simply how Kelly and Kara want them done (which is odd because they are pretty removed from doing the analysis work themselves). The company has good vacation time, but also encourages employees only to use vacation time when it's convenient for the company.
