Pros

Pros are decent hourly pay and some nice people and clients.

Cons

No salary transparency or annual cost of living increases. Team managers change frequently and don’t seem to understand challenges. Mgmt is very quiet about the alarmingly high turnover in a relatively small company. A lot of the consultants are competitive with each other and not supportive.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear your experience with us wasn’t a more positive one, and we take your concerns seriously. Regarding salaries, we’re one of the few employee-owned companies of our kind, and we care deeply about the financial success of our people. While we do not currently offer cost of living increases, we do pay above industry standards and offer regular performance-based bonuses and other bonuses so that everyone can share in our company’s success. We’re also very proud of our management team and we are thoughtful when we make any manager changes. They’re a big reason why our average employee tenure is higher than at most companies, and why 96% of our team members would recommend ROI as a great place to work. Our turnover rate is also below average, especially in the Bay Area, where we are based. We’re sorry again that your experience wasn’t better and we’re always looking to improve. If you’d like to talk about any of your concerns in detail, we encourage you to get in touch at roihr@roico.com. Thank you again, and we wish you well in your future endeavors. Sincerely, The ROI team

Pros

Founded in 2001, ROI's work from home business model offers the flexibility and respect for professionalism that many companies only discovered due to Covid. As an internal communications consultancy, the focus is on ensuring staff is well-positioned to serve the needs of the clients.

Cons

The flexible schedule approach is not for everyone. The workload can vary: some weeks involve high demand if the client is launching a major campaign; other weeks are slower as demands ramp down.
