Pros

Flexibility Decent benefits Decent bonus if the company does well Company keeps on top of new regulatory info released

Cons

When I joined 4 years ago before the big merger, the company was fantastic. It was a big family with people who genuinely cared about you, super attentive to your well-being and happy to give opportunities for growth. Since the merger, experiencing rapid turnover of veteran staff with almost no acknowledgment that there is an issue. When brought up with upper management, all you get is fluff. Poor organizational structure on the clinical side, poor management, and poor hiring screening. Hired project leads and managers are super bad at their jobs, don't care about the individual contributors and often throw them under the bus and overpromise on providing deliverables. You are often siloed in your specific speciality. Waay too much gas-lighting from upper management. Unable/unwilling to pay competitively. Unwilling to promote high-performing employees regardless of positive feedback. Confusing and muddied communication about promotions, how to raise concerns, and general info. It's such a shame the company is crumbling, at least on the clinical side. Hopefully they'll be able to rectify their issues and bring the company back to its former glory.

Pros

Non-lab roles can work remotely. There's a $50 remote work stipend.

Cons

Benefits are subpar at best. The health insurance has high premiums. The company is revamping itself to a medtech CRO. They keep laying off valuable people and great leadership is leaving. If you ever decide to work here just know that you will be burnt out. Prepare to work long hours, nights and sometimes weekends just to meet their unrealistic deliverables and timelines. My department was always short staffed and they didn't care but proceeded to layoff more people. Only certain people's opinion mattered more than anyone elses. All the attention and opportunities went to specific people. It's hard to work when leadership plays favorites and punishes those who don't play well with their favorites. I'm glad I left.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear that your time at RQM left you feeling this way. We understand that periods of change—such as our transition into a medtech CRO—can create challenges. These changes have involved difficult decisions, including restructuring efforts, which we recognize have had an impact on our teams. We are working hard to better support employees during this time, including improving communication, evaluating workloads, and investing in leadership development. Regarding your comments on benefits and staffing: we know these are important concerns. We're actively reviewing our benefits offerings, including health coverage, to stay competitive and meet employee needs. We also recognize the importance of workload balance and equitable treatment, and are taking steps to address these issues more consistently across the organization. While it's disappointing to hear that you felt favoritism and lack of support in your department, your feedback has been shared with our leadership team as part of our commitment to building a more inclusive and supportive work culture.
