Pros

Used to be great, so there is still potential if they reverse course- I would have rated the company five stars two years ago. With everyone leaving as fast as possible, there's no shortage of openings. You get to see your office interactions portrayed in the Dilbert cartoons daily. And since there are no windows, I never have to see that pesky thing called the sun unless I choose to.

Cons

They are so desperate for workers there is no choice in career path, only fires to put out and bodies to throw at them. All of the tribal knowledge has been driven away to competitors or retired. I've had managers tell me I'm not allowed to be promoted on a given cycle because I wasn't in the RIGHT minority group.

Pros

I worked at Raytheon for over 4 years and had a great experience. The company provided many learning and growth opportunities. I was promoted twice during my tenure with the company, and my responsibility increased significantly. I felt like my management supported me and provided me with the career mentorship that I was seeking. I felt empowered and respected during my time there.

Cons

It can be difficult to work at such a large defense contractor company because of all the process and red tape. Things can move slowly, you have to be patient and pick your battles. That being said, if you learn how to work within the system, you can make a significant impact here!
