Pros

Direct manager is awesome and leads by example.

Cons

Poor work life balance. Team members within the HR team are overworked and need the HR leadership to support and advocate for its own team members. Your people are supporting others and carrying other people's burdens and mess, they need to feel supported by not just words but actions. Example, if someone disagrees or questions an action or initiative, listen to understand, rather than get defensive. Or, knowing that with the migration of a new system, support and advocate for your people by being realistic and manage expectations with leadership , so that team members don't get burnt out by working the already busy day to day tasks while having to be on calls after hours.
