Pros
This company is a tight ship. No money is spent that doesn't need to be. During the economic downturn this company made quick nimble decisions that allowed the company to keep growing in spite of the ecnomic storm. I have a lot of respect for that. From an employees perspective it is somewhat militaristic in its management disciplines. I suppose that is just old school philisophy. Despite that, there are feedback loops for employees to give thier feedback about how to improve the company and I have myself seen the benefits of these ideas in motion. There does seems to be tolerance for work-life balance and valuation of family life, however I have also seen plenty of people work many hours past 40/week as well.
Cons
Decisions seem to be made primarily to grow the empire. All decisions stem from that perspective. As well, certain parts of the company seem to operate in silos rather that collaborating cooperatively.
