Pros

There are no pros to working here. Even the coffee wasn't good. If I could give this review 0 stars our of 5, I would.

Cons

Raffles Media (now trading as Convertize) terminated my employment when I notified them I had a health issue classified as a disability under employment and equality law. They initially tried to force me to take a freelance contract because it would "suit my needs better" and because I "hadn't highlighted the issue during the recruitment process", which is code for "we don't want to make any reasonable adjustments to your working environment or hours to accommodate you, this is your problem not ours". They do not provide an occupational sick pay policy, meaning any time off I needed for my health or to see a doctor would be unpaid. When I said I needed to think about switching to a freelance contract, they terminated my employment, but then said " we still value your expertise, so feel free to come back as a contractor", even though the reason stated for my termination was that I wasn't a good fit and I hadn't passed my probation. Reasons why what they did was illegal are: 1) I am under no obligation to disclose the exact nature of a health issue during the recruitment process, they are obliged to ask if "any reasonable adjustments are required for me to attend the interview", and the fact that they think that I should have done, is illegal, plus the fact that they clearly wouldn't have hired me if they had known, is also illegal. 2) When I disclosed my health issue and requested time off to attend GP and hospital appointments or to work from home approx 2-3 days a month, they said that they couldn't make an exception for me, and that their sickness absence policy "suited everyone else" and I just needed to "fit in" or take a freelance contract. They refused to make reasonable adjustments for me, even though I told them my health issues was a disability. This is illegal! 3) When I said I needed time to think about taking a freelance contract, asked about whether I would lose the benefits of being a full time employee, and summarised the conversation so far regarding the discussion we had, including highlighting that I had disclosed a health issue to them that is classified as a disability, their response was to terminate my employment. Discriminatory and illegal.

Pros

Great place, with loads of interns to make your internship great.

Cons

Interns can be fired, be careful in being negative about the company.
