Pros

Remote and no micromanaging if you perform

Cons

Everything else. No one is held accountable. Favoritism is rampant. Ethics have been thrown out the window in shortsighted decisions. Leadership constantly changing. The tip of the iceberg was when they begged us to give good ratings and answers on the quarterly employee survey because it affects bonuses. It seems everyone is unhappy outside a few select producers who get away with the most unethical things I have ever seen.

Pros

None. This was one of the worst job experience I've had.

Cons

I recently worked with Randstad Digital on a short-term contract placement and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience due to a lack of communication and preparation. During the onboarding process, the recruiter did not provide critical information needed to perform the role. Prior to my start date, I proactively reached out to ask if there was anything I needed to prepare for my first week. I did not receive any additional guidance. On my first day, I learned from the client manager that I was expected to use a personal laptop — something that was never communicated beforehand. This created immediate disruption and required me to leave early and scramble to secure a device from a family member just to continue working. The client site was also unprepared. There was no badge or ID ready, no clear onboarding plan, and no clarity on responsibilities or key contacts. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly coordinated between the recruiting team, account management, and the client. I have worked multiple contract roles in the past, and this was by far the least organized onboarding experience I’ve encountered. Communication gaps, lack of preparation, and minimal support after issues arose made the situation difficult to navigate. When concerns were raised, follow-up from the account team was limited. This experience ultimately resulted in the contract being canceled after ongoing confusion and back-and-forth. I would encourage Randstad Digital to improve recruiter communication, ensure expectations and equipment requirements are clearly communicated in advance, and better coordinate onboarding with client teams so contractors can be set up for success from day one.
