Pros

Used to be a great company, benefits are pretty good, flex work locations-remote

Cons

Pay is not the greatest, commission plan changes slightly almost every year in the company's favor, the rebranding of Randstad Technologies to Randstad Digital has been a disaster. Internally the communication employees of what was happening and goals of executive leadership was terrible, layoffs/firings of onshore producers has been constant every couple of months since Jan 2023 as business declines. Leadership is trying to sell the company capabilities as one thing yet we're not setup and haven't done the work they are saying we can do yet. Kicking aside the successful business that the company is built on to become a Systems Integrator (even though mgmt says that's not what they are doing). Zero disguising the ambition of the CEO wanting to turn this company into Cognizant (every person hired in mgmt has come from Cognizant while most of the trusted leadership of the company has been forced out). This company will be primarily an offshore delivery firm soon.

Pros

None. This was one of the worst job experience I've had.

Cons

I recently worked with Randstad Digital on a short-term contract placement and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience due to a lack of communication and preparation. During the onboarding process, the recruiter did not provide critical information needed to perform the role. Prior to my start date, I proactively reached out to ask if there was anything I needed to prepare for my first week. I did not receive any additional guidance. On my first day, I learned from the client manager that I was expected to use a personal laptop — something that was never communicated beforehand. This created immediate disruption and required me to leave early and scramble to secure a device from a family member just to continue working. The client site was also unprepared. There was no badge or ID ready, no clear onboarding plan, and no clarity on responsibilities or key contacts. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly coordinated between the recruiting team, account management, and the client. I have worked multiple contract roles in the past, and this was by far the least organized onboarding experience I’ve encountered. Communication gaps, lack of preparation, and minimal support after issues arose made the situation difficult to navigate. When concerns were raised, follow-up from the account team was limited. This experience ultimately resulted in the contract being canceled after ongoing confusion and back-and-forth. I would encourage Randstad Digital to improve recruiter communication, ensure expectations and equipment requirements are clearly communicated in advance, and better coordinate onboarding with client teams so contractors can be set up for success from day one.
