Cons
Risk of getting assaulted is higher due to the more acute population. Security is not stationed on the floor and is instead pulled from the emergency room during emergencies.
Occasional cases of inappropriate admissions to the unit for patients with no psychiatric emergency that justifies inpatient hospitalization, or come with medical conditions that might not be appropriate to our floor which has limited resources to manage them.
