Pros
Great role models to learn from especially Dan Hansen. He was vital in the early stages of my career. He gave me a chance to gain experience when all other agencies were requiring min 3 years to start. This is where I realized my marketing degree didn't necessarily teach me what I needed to know in the real world. My opinions mattered, my creative ideas were at times selected by the agency and the client. This is the only agency experience I have in my career but I feel as though it was all I needed as I'm on a strict sales role in my current company. Very hands on place. That could be a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. I prefer hands on. Not sure about upper management these days but back then, I was trusted to attempt handling or running projects in my own terms. Mostly learned by trial and error. If things went wrong, the feedback for my efforts was always positive. Dan, you have been an inspiration to me. You were patient, detailed, sometimes too detailed but I enjoyed my nearly 4 years there. :-)
Cons
Some might need more direction or instruction than usually given depending on the work in hand or the person on the account/project.
