Small company with ability to make a big impact as an employee. Great relationships for continuing work (freelance etc) Fast paced creative work!

Difficulty for much advancement due to scope of work but can work with management on opportunities to move up!

Nice people, interesting book topics.

Part of their sales pitch was their company culture and treating employees like family, but this was quickly obviously not true. Organization and communication were a mess, nearly a third of company either left or was laid off during my stay, including both of my supervisors and they didn't have a creative director until my last day on the job. I didn't receive training on their process, people were eager to report my mistakes to management, and ultimately I was let go for trying to fix a mistake I made earlier in a book due to "not following the proper workflow" which they, again, did not instruct me on. They also asked me to take on video editing tasks immediately which was something they had asked about in the interview, which also interrupted my ability to learn how to do my job. Additionally there are no upward or career advancement options, it's a family company and you're not part of the family.
