Pros

RedQuadrant is a relatively small company to work in. They have consultants working for them all over the UK, but the internal team and the group of 'preferred' consultants is of a size that you will get to know them all on a personal level. This results in a very friendly working environment. Working as a junior within RedQuadrant will definitly give you amazing opportunities, because they will put you on projects all over the UK from day one. You will get your own tasks, and will work on different projects, in different teams, in different councils. They will give you lot of opportunities to develop yourself, and you can always shadow consultants if you want, plus you have access to internal development programmes and a coach. The manage style is based on trust, and you will get your own responsibilities immediately. Everybody works hard, but in return you get major opportunities for personal development and you will be continuously asked to challenge yourself to do new things. You will be travelling all over the UK, sometimes even internationally. And they have flexible working hours, so you can do your work whenever and wherever if you don't have any appointments. If you like to work on a variety of projects, get real experience in how it is to work as a management consultant, like to put yourself in new situations on a weekly basis and really develop yourself as a professional: this is the company for you!

Cons

You are expected to work very independently, there are always people who could help you but first you should try to figure everything out yourself. This doesn't work for everyone, do consider this before applying. Plus don't go in if you have a 9-5 mentality.

Pros

Wide variety of work, opprtunities to experience the consultancy business in all its aspects, good people to work with and opprtunities to show your worth and gain experience, big network of contacts

Cons

It can be a tough market and some assignments can be tough, with a medium sized company you wont be as insulated from the turbulence as much. Also if you are an associate you are likley to need some other sources of contract work.
