Pros

You meet amazing clients unfortunately under bad circumstances

Cons

Average turn around rate is 2 weeks for a trainer. Think about that before you sign up, the only ones who stay longer are the ones who are higher up making thousands per week not the trainers making 50-400 a week. Money hungry managers who manipulate and scam clients into signing up for memberships they can’t afford. They use you and take advantage of your time as a trainer. There is no work life balance, they will think redwood is a way of life instead of a job. They charge clients $50+ but pay you 19-25 per 30 min. You’re making dirt compared to them. You have very little time to train with clients and your clients will want out of their memberships and be hostile towards you and management will make sure you take the fall for them. You are a replaceable number and they treat you as such. No work life balance. No moral code. They just don’t care about clients, their trainers or anyone but higher ups.

Pros

this is the first job that I actually make more because I do more. If you are good at talking to people and love helping people you will make a lot of money on every check.

Cons

no cons for me because I am great at this job.

Pros

This company has went over and beyond for me as an employee. They promote from within. I’ve seen them part ways and rehire people that most likely didn’t deserve it. If you are willing to absorb company wide processes and policies you can go very far. If you are passionate about fitness and have a great work ethic this is the company for you. Opportunity to relocate and travel.

Cons

Some could say pay plan and amount of hours necessary in the positions for this business would be a negative. However, these same people would be the ones that show up late to interviews, works one week then wants a week off, are sick every other day. You control your own pay check, you get to be in the gym and get paid for it, and you get to be a part of changing people’s lives. In today’s climate the word (cons) gets confused with weaknesses.
